About

Hey there! I'm Rachael, a speech pathologist based in the southern Hobart region, working with children who need support with speech sounds, stuttering, language, and early literacy. I believe therapy should be fun, engaging, and built around connection and each child’s unique strengths.

At Little Wordsmiths, my goal is to give children the tools and confidence to use their words in both functional and creative ways - whether that’s asking for help, telling a story, or joining in play with friends.

I work closely with families to create goals that matter and provide practical strategies you can use at home. No matter what we’re working on, I’m here to cheer your child on every step of the way.

When I’m not in sessions, you’ll find me enjoying life in Kingston with my husband (a local GP) and our soon-to-arrive puppy. We moved from the Gold Coast to Hobart so he could complete his GP training - and quickly fell in love with the slower pace, cooler weather, and tight-knit community down here. I’m also a bit of a foodie, so on weekends you’ll likely find me chasing the next best plate in Hobart!

If you’re after a supportive, down-to-earth speechie to walk alongside your family, I’d love to meet you!
